Team of the Week: Cincinnati Ursuline moves into the top spot and remains unbeaten playing a brutal schedule.
Team on the Rise: Sylvania Southview is quietly proving themselves this season and may in fact be the real deal. They are undefeated (albeit against so-so competition) and might be the best from the Toledo-area.
Team on the Decline: Solon has lost four in a row and is quickly fading from the discussion.

Team on the Rise: Hubbard is undefeated at 12-0 and was barely challenged this weekend in an invitational they ran away with.
Team on the Decline: Kettering Archbishop Alter has lost three of four. Usually we give them the benefit of the doubt, but there is more doubt than optimism it seems this year for one of the best D2 programs of all-time.

Five to Watch:
26. Lordstown
27. Franklin Monroe
28. Jackson-Milton
29. Fort Recovery
30. Ashtabula St. John & Paul
Team of the Week: In the marquee matchup of the season, previously #2 Jackson Center looked overwhelmed by then-#1 Marion Local last night losing the first two games. Then the Lady Tigers rallied to win the next three and reclaim the top spot in our rankings.
Team on the Rise: Hopewell-Loudon has been much-improved since losing all three matches at Lehman's Invitational. They are on a roll, including big wins over ranked teams like Mohawk, Calvert and D3 Marion Pleasant.
Team on the Decline: While Minster and Delphos St. John's got wins yesterday, including DSJ defeating previously undefeated Kalida, they both have been highly inconsistent and up-and-down. While we believe they are better than a lot in D4, they have to show it by getting "W's."

Captain Brinn's Ohio Varsity Launches Social Network!
Changes are happening and Captain Brinn's voice is growing. We want you to continue to be a part of it! Here is exactly what is going on:1. We are creating a niche! What does that mean? It means instead of conversing and talking about all Ohio High School Sports we are going to focus solely on girls' athletics. As of now Captain Brinn's Ohio Varsity will be the only Ohio High School Sports Site online that features and discusses girls athletics and gives them the attention they deserve! Currently we will focus on volleyball (the sport which started the Captain Brinn phenomenon), then girls' basketball in the winter, and softball in the spring.
2. We have created a social community for everyone who wants to discuss and follow Ohio High School Girls' Sports! Visit http://cbohiovarsity.ning.com, sign-up, create a profile, and join the community. Now you can connect with other fans! You can post videos, photos, your own blog posts, your own notes, chat online with others who are signed-in, discuss topics in the forum, post events, and create groups. It is brand new so become an early-adopter and watch the community and network of Ohio sports fans grow! Best of all you can read the most recent rankings and blog posts from this blog directly inside the social community! We cordially invite you to create a profile and start helping us build this unique community and contribute to the conversation.
